Bipolar Disorder Causes and Triggers That Many Victims Take For Granted
The cause of bipolar disorder, like so many other kinds of ailments has not been detected but some risk factors have been identified with this condition. One of the major risk factors often associated with this condition is genetics.
Sure your suffering from bipolar-disorder is related to your genes, but it is a fact that high stress levels tend to trigger or aggravate periods of mania or depression in a patient, and you know you don’t need that.
The extreme low depression in bipolar disorder can be triggered by any number of factors in your immediate or extended environment. The same factors can cause the extreme highs of the condition also in a different patient. That is why it is critical for you to understand what sets it off in you so that you can avoid them.
Often, medications for this disorder have to be taken well in advance of the episodes, at times when you are cool or normal. If you neglect to take them, perhaps out of forgetfulness or neglect, or fear of the side effects, you might find yourself slipping into the manic-depressive episodes more often than not. One could argue that you triggered it yourself.
An elevated mood or mania in a sufferer of this disorder can be triggered off when the person has just been through a rough ordeal and comes out on top. If such experiences persist, you may sometimes begin to feel like you can achieve anything and no one can stop you. It is a shame, but you are going to have to lookout for the nice sides of life too.
